So the shop is finally coming together a little more! I absofrigginlutely LOVE the persimmon walls. They add warmth without making me feel stuffy and they add a brightness that could easily substitute for prozac. Cool, huh?
Anyway…..this is some of the glass. I do plan to paint the floor but not in this 710 degree heat.
Cheerio!
this is the floor….i took this picture so you could get an idea of what a mess i am…literally. there are gobs and chunks of texture all over the floor…primer paint has splattered everywhere….ugh.
but tomorrow! persimmon.
sleep well.
i know….kinda hard to decipher just what this is….it’s one of the four walls of my studio! and…i just had to pick a paint that required a tinted primer…so this is the wall after the texturizing has been applied, then sanded, wiped down and finally ‘primed’. whew!
just wait! tomorrow is persimmon! i actually get to paint the walls…after 7 days…who knew?
Sandy
so the drywall has been put up for the walls of the new studio…the joint tape added, the drywall spackle compound added to the tape, screws, etc…..then it was sanded…which made a complete mess…i had a head full of chalky dust and who knows how much i have inhaled….last night i added texture to the walls which was no small feat. not at all….
then today i picked out the paint…which came with a primer…which required that i then sand the texture i just applied only the night before…so only one coat of primer has been applied….only one!
cans of beautiful semi-gloss persimmon paint sit idle. i’m choking.
bloody mary, anyone?
Signed Stud (via fergibarnes)
Spent the weekend putting up the walls for my glass studio…The guys that came out to help signed the studs. I’ll update with more pics. Texturizing the walls today and then hopefully painting tomorrow.
Track lighting. A mini-bar. Surround sound. Personal assistant.
Maybe I should’ve stopped with track lighting.
Cheerio!
